I think one of the most beautiful things about wed I think one of the most beautiful things about wedding photography is that the photos grow with you. What feels exciting now often becomes deeply emotional years later. The big belly laughs with your wedding party, the heat of the afternoon sun, a quiet few minutes alone together after the ceremony — those are often the memories that end up meaning the most. The small in-between moments you barely noticed at the time suddenly become the ones you treasure most. Photos aren’t just for your wedding day, they’re for every version of you that comes after it.

Dreaming of more coastal engagement sessions like Dreaming of more coastal engagement sessions like this.

McKenzie Bight brought so much texture to this session — ocean air, rocky shorelines, soft trees, and that dreamy blue hour glow.

Sessions like this are why I love photographing people in wild, beautiful places.

This Abkhazi Garden wedding was full of spring colour — blooming flowers, lush green foliage, and those quiet, meaningful moments that make a small wedding feel so special. A proper spring celebration in one of Victoria’s dreamiest garden spaces.

Some wedding days feel extra personal because they Some wedding days feel extra personal because they’re built around places that already mean something.

This one started at @mudsharks.cafe , where these two had their first date. They shared their first look there, took a few quiet portraits, and then we wandered through the spring cherry blossoms nearby before ending at the Courtenay Air Park. Reaching the viewpoint platform where they had their first kiss.

And honestly, this is one of my favourite ways to photograph a wedding day.

Not by forcing portraits into the most dramatic or Pinterest-perfect location, but by making space for the places that are already part of your story.

My style leans documentary, which means I’m always watching for the real stuff: the little giggles, the hand squeezes, the quiet pauses, the way you naturally move together once you start to forget about the camera.

But documentary doesn’t mean I leave you wondering what to do.

I’ll gently guide you when it helps. I’ll give you little prompts, help with the awkward hands, and create enough structure that you feel comfortable, without making the day feel overly posed or performative.

For my Comox Valley couples: your portraits don’t need to happen somewhere dramatic to be meaningful.

Sometimes the best locations are the coffee shop where it started, the trail you walk all the time, the neighbourhood blossoms, or the little viewpoint that holds a memory only the two of you fully understand.

Your wedding day doesn’t have to feel like a photoshoot.

It can feel like a really good day with your favourite person, and I’ll be there to document it honestly.
